The artist puts particular interest in various marginalized positions in society, such as animals, the deceased, and people with disabilities. Dogs’ Palatial House, showcasing in South Korea for the first time, looks into the relationship between humans and dogs. She presents the space shared with the dogs she rescued and shows the experiences of these dogs in relation to the space. The work reimagines the behaviors of the dogs from their own perspective, how they explore and adapt to the space cohabited by the humans. Through this process, Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook retakes on the life of a dog and tells a story of how non-human entities perceive the unseen world around them.
